The Mid-Ohio Conference Center is once again the site for the Ohio Taxidermy Championships. MOCC is a modern, clean facility. Carpeted throughout and climate controlled. A loading dock with easy load in and out. Extensive amounts of FREE parking close to the entrance and plenty of restrooms. 12 foot ceilings throughout can handle all but the largest entries.
For 2012 the OTA has secured even MORE space at the Convention Center giving us the ability to add more seminars, more suppliers, more EVERYTHING. Things are in the works to really expand the show this year. We are always looking for ways to give you the most bang for your buck that we can. In this economy every little bit helps. Attending ONE Convention will shorten your learning curve TEN YEARS.

New Retro Division!
Remember those glory days!? Now you can RE-LIVE them. The OTA has added the RETRO division to the show! Now you can dust off that old mount and bring it in to compete.
The way it works is this. All retro mounts will be separated from the rest of the entries and the membership will get to vote for the winning mounts. Fish, birds, deer, etc are all going to be in the same category. ONE 1st, 2nd, and 3rd award will be given to the winning entries. Retro mounts are NOT eligible for other awards.
For 2012 all entries in the “RETRO” division must have been mounted PRIOR to 1990. Entry fee is $5 and will be paid at the door. Let’s dust them off and have some fun!

"Deer BLIND" Contest!
This year the OTA will be holding a DIFFERENT contest for the Friday Night mixer. The DEER BLIND CONTEST. Contestants will have to do the eye set on a deer in a set time limit TBA. You don’t need to enter as we will take volunteer teams from the gallery. One will do the eye work the other will give VOCAL assistance. Prizes will be given to those that do the best blind work.
Deer and SNACKS will be provided. All you need to bring is your favorite cool beverage and a good attitude.
We plan on hanging out until the wee hours so be sure that you come on over and meet your fellow taxidermists.
